Residential design and construction has always been a personal passion for Sophia Kabler Cowley, President of Kabler Construction Services, Inc.. Sophia began cultivating her passion for home design with the purchase of her first San Francisco home with beautiful bones but in need of work. She then built an Early California style home situated on 10 acres in Sonoma to escape to on weeekends. Craving a yard for her dog, and warmer weather, Sophia sold her renovated San Francisco home and bought a home in the Sycamore Park area of Mill Valley which of course also needed some loving attention (the exterior paint was purple if that gives you some idea). Formerly a marketing and sales executive for Fortune 500 and consumer internet companies, Sophia led a busy, stress filled life. Inspired by her mother's battle with Ovarian Cancer, Sophia decided it was time to turn her hobby into her primary endeavor.
Married to Brian Cowley and step-mother to twins, Mac and Payne, now sophomores in high school, she and her family live in Mill Valley in a home renovated by Sophia and Joe, KCS Inc's Resident Designer, and enjoy their weekends in Sonoma. Wine shared with friends is a close second to Sophia's passion for home design and golf is Brian's passion. The kids used to enjoy warm days by the pool but are now more interested in Facebook.
KCS Estates approaches design around Sophia's passion for both her family and social life with friends. Being fortunate to share in raising the twins, the floor plans take into account the changing needs of raising children. They provide for communal family living and for the pursuit of both adult and childhood interests. Sophia's passion for the outdoors comes thru in our design emphasis on outdoor living spaces and rich landscapes.
